For my sons 6th birthday, I created this SpongeBob party using an array of candies for the kids goodie bags, and desserts! I also created the corresponding labels and place cards using an editing tool in PicMonkey, which really brought interest, and the party together. The backdrop is made with tablecloths (found on Amazon), and flowers that I drew out and cut into their shapes, and then pink streamers for the jellyfish flanking either side of the table.

I used a brownie pop mold to create the small jellyfish bites on a stick on the corner of the table, by dipping the brownie pop into pink candy melts, and then attaching Twizzlers to the base for the legs.

The cake was made using a dress cake mold, and then covered with orange fondant. I cut out the shape of each leaf, and then stuck a toothpick into each one, and then pushed the leaf into the top of the cake. I did this quite a few times until it looked full enough. Little SpongeBob toys finished off the front of his house, standing by the door and windows made with grey fondant!

A fishing net covered the table, and Plankton's eyeball made it onto each of the treat bags, and cups for the kiddos. 

I made the centerpieces that sit on top of the party table with yellow and blue tissue paper, bunching them up together to form sort of a topiary with each one. I wrapped each napkin with a 'lifesaver' candy and twine, and the party was complete!

For my daughters 9th birthday, I created this SWEET SHOPPE BAR themed party…it was actually one of my favorites to put together 🍬🍭

For the backdrop, I used a pink polka dot table cloth, and then attached a blue table runner that I made to that with double sided tape. For the large lollipops, I used round pieces of cardboard, painted them different colors, and covered them with iridescent cellophane paper…then added long dowel rods for the stick. 🍭 For the large hard candies🍬, I used Chinese lanterns stuffed with white tulle.

For the dessert table, I purchased containers with lids on them, with the addition of scoops, to add a variety of candy to each container. I also tied pink ribbon to each lid, and had a place card of what was in each one of them in front of them. 🍬🪧💗🍭

I made cake pops, and placed them upside down onto a plate with a colored swirl tag on each one, little candy sugar cookies, mini gumball machines, bottles of water with corresponding labels, and fabric bags for the kids to stuff the candy in! 🛍️

The serving table was decorated with dinner plates and dessert plates stacked, mason jars with pink lids and striped paper straws with a ‘sweet shoppe’ tag on each one, and then silverware wrapped with a purple napkin and candy necklace. The tables were ‘sprinkled’ with little styrofoam balls wrapped in colored tissue paper for decoration, and the party was complete!

For my son’s birthday a few years back, I created this Lego-themed birthday party 🥳

For the backdrop, I covered a giant piece of cardboard with a yellow polka dot table cloth, and then glued a red poster with Logan’s name on it, and a bunch of little Legos to the area around it.

I used a red table cloth to cover the dessert table, and laid one of the runners from the Mad Scientist party, down the center. 🧫🧪🔬

For the candy, I used yellow, blue and red jelly beans, candy buttons, and little Hershey chocolate bars wrapped in colored block paper.

I printed out little Lego logos and taped them to a bunch of colored cardboard boxes, and then added Lego water bottle labels to the water bottles. I glued faces to yellow bags to pack their candy in to take home, and added some popcorn to pre-printed boxes I found online. 🍿😎

For the cake table, I used square green and blue dessert plates, the other fabric runner, plastic hard hats, orange traffic cones and mason jars wrapped in LEGO labels with striped straws to match the striped table cloth 🙂

For the cake, I made the bottom layer a 12” square, covered in buttercream and lines of m&m’s. For the top, I used an 8” round cake with a 6” top, and frosted it with a yellow buttercream. 💛

To throw my son his Stranger Things party, I had to get creative...   To begin, I created the 'Hellfire Club' backdrop with some paint and a cardboard tri-fold, and then finished it off with caution tape and framed it in with red and black balloons for a big impact. On the table there is cupcakes topped off with mini Eggo waffles, D&D dice, a trucker hat, VHS tapes and bright 80's sunglasses! 

For my son's birthday, I created this MAD SCIENTIST themed party 🧪🔭🧫

I made the table runners with material from a craft store, drew out ‘lab materials’ on the backdrop, and then affixed the banner I printed out to the top.

I purchased glass beakers, test tubes, and petri dishes online at Amazon, and then filled them with colored water. Well, except for the petri dishes…they were actually gummy worms sitting in Jello. 🧫🪱

I bought gumballs in green and blue, and filled different containers of varying sizes with them, chocolate bars were wrapped with colored paper printouts, gummy worms were laid out on a cookie sheet for observation, and then water bottles got a label that covered the store label to add to the theme colors. 💚💙💚

I purchased styrofoam balls of varying sizes, and painted them the same colors of blue and green, connecting them with toothpicks to create ‘Atoms’ and ‘Molecules’. 🧬 Those were placed on the dessert table with the plates and silverware. I also made the runner down the center of the table, and finished it off with mason jars wrapped in the same colored labels as the water bottles and chocolate bars, with striped straws inserted into each one!

For the cake, I made the Mad Scientist himself using half a ball cake for his head, two glass beakers, and then fondant pieces for his nose, hands, and beakers for the sides.

I made each of the kids their very own lab coats 🥼with a laminated name tag, goggles 🧑‍🔬👩‍🔬👨‍🔬, a blue and white striped bow tie, and some safety glasses to take home.

We also went outside and did some science experiments with soda and mentos, and a few other projects... We had a blast! Literally 🥳

For my daughters Sweet 16 Winter-themed birthday party, I gathered up the following supplies to add an elegant calming glow with an array of battery operated tea lights and pillar candles, each sitting on/in a beautiful glass/metal candle holder. I love mixing up different materials to create interest and give the eye resting spaces…metals and glassware, paired with pink flowers, pinecones, snowflakes, and hints of gold really brought the look together for me. 🌲🌸🕯️

For the cake we went with a simple ‘rustic’ theme, by adding buttercream frosting, before scraping most of it off. This was a hot trend back in the day for wedding cakes, and was so easy to execute…not too mention, if you’re not into super sweet cakes, this is an elegant alternative 🌸

We used a light up cake stand, that was threaded with fairy lights, paired with the topper, which was a crown that was also lit up for a peaceful touch of whimsy.

Pinecones, stems, and pink roses were scattered about for a simple, but impactful presentation…✨

This created the magical ‘winter’ aesthetic I was seeking, while also pulling in elements of pink/blush to keep the ‘sweet 16’ theme as ‘princess-esq’ as possible for a beautiful little angel in the making 💗
